Life Goes On Foundation was founded in 2007, the same year that Arthur was tragically shot in the chest by an unknown assailant. After the shooting, Renowitzky was rushed to the hospital and rose from a near-death coma and months of determined rehabilitation with a new lease on life. He now works aggressively to share his inspiring story of overcoming this traumatic experience. His mission is to help and inspire others who find themselves in similar life altering situations, encouraging them to remain positive. Arthur envisions a world where he can one day walk, run and play with his loved ones without any threat of senseless violence. To achieve these goals, Arthur and his team are committed to speaking out publicly about the realities of youth violence.
Apart from providing inspirational talks to youth, Arthur and LGO provide inspiration and care packs to those who have been hospitalized due to a spinal cord injury. Arthur has clearly touched many lives. One man, Eugene Yoon, has been so moved by Arthur's work with LGO that he has partnered with Arthur to create a campaign to help make Arthur’s dream of walking again come true while spreading awareness of Spinal Cord Injuries. The two met in November of 2014, and developed a goal to help them both walk down their prospective life paths resolute and with an optimistic spirit. Eugene will traverse the Pacific Crest Trail with the goal of completing 1,726 miles while raising funds for Arthur to walk again with a ReWalk robotic Exoskeleton. This is a groundbreaking system that would enable Arthur to stand, turn, and ultimately walk. The ReWalk costs $70,000 and an additional $10,000 for training.
