Catherine Metzger connects with her clients through an abiding interest in helping people, a love of home, family, and community, and a strong sense of ethics. A dual citizen of Canada and the US, she lived in Bucaramanga, Colombia, Big Bay, British Columbia, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York (where she graduated from Northwestern and Columbia Universities) before moving to the East Bay.
She finds that much of what she likes about any place are the people she meets in her neighborhood. In Piedmont, where the youngest of her four children attended school, she found a community she could also love. Helping her neighbors make one of their biggest decisions—buying or selling their home—allows Catherine to engage her best skills, qualities, and passions in the service of navigating the real estate market.
Catherine has an intuitive sense of design (see her photography portfolio, deft communication skills from years of medical communication management and consulting, and deep project management experience in real estate and contracts. She has successfully orchestrated large and small relocation projects, working with architects, interior decorators, space and technical infrastructure planners, movers, and multiple government and private contractors at UCSF and in the private domain.
When Catherine can, she likes to travel and write about it. She also loves to play and perform jazz and classical piano, cook for friends and family, and walk their Spanish Water dog Eva in the wildly beautiful East Bay Hills.
